BRIEF PROFILE
Venkata Sai Srinivasa Rao Muramalla graduated MBA., MPhil, and Ph.D. in Business Management from Andhra University, India. He also received his bachelor's Degree in Electronics from the same university.
He started his career as a Technical Assistant in the Quality Control Unit (QCU) for Electrical Testing of Jelly Fiber Telecommunication Cable (JFTC) and Optical Fiber Cable (OFC) Divisions of Sterlite Industries India Ltd (Vedanta Group), Aurangabad – India. Later he was an Assistant Area Sales Manager in Aurangabad for the Consumer Segment of Johnson & Johnson India Pvt. Ltd. Subsequently, he joined TVS Motor Company (Moped Div) as the Lead Sales Manager for semi-urban and rural segments of Visakhapatnam District – India.
In 2000, he qualified UGC-NET and AP-SET in Management and is eligible to teach as an Assistant Professor in Universities and Colleges, So, he shifted to the teaching profession and joined as an Assistant Professor as well promoted to Associate Professor at the School of Management Studies of Maharajah’s Post-Graduate (MRPG) College, Vizianagaram (Affiliated with Andhra University), Andhra Pradesh – India. During his tenure, he completed training in ‘Case Study development on Small, Medium, and Large-Scale Industries at the Xavier Institute of Management & Entrepreneurship (XIME) in Bangalore, India.
Moving to Saudi Arabia in 2012, for 7 years, he was an Assistant Professor in the College of Business Administration at Prince Sattam Bin Abdulaziz University. During this period, he completed a funded research project as a co-investigator on opportunities and challenges of the Dates industry in the Al-Kharj region of Saudi Arabia’ sponsored by the Deanship of Scientific Research of the University. He was a certified member of the PSAU Board of Assessors for Program Specifications under the National Center for Academic Accreditation and Assessment (NCAAA) in Saudi Arabia. In 2019 he joined Komar University of Science and Technology, Kurdistan Region – Iraq, and served as an Assistant Professor in the College of Business and worked until August 2020. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he returned to India. He joined Malla Reddy College of Engineering and Technology, Hyderabad (Affiliated with JNT University, Hyderabad) and worked as a Professor in the Department of Management Studies. He is a Professor in the Department of Marketing, College of Business and Economics at Mettu University, Oromia Region, Ethiopia.
His scholarly works are on Consumer Behavior, Entrepreneurship, and Digital Marketing Strategies. To date, he published research papers in international peer-reviewed journals indexed in Scopus and Web of Science. Also, presented research papers at the International Conferences, and Workshops held in UAE, Kurdistan & Saudi Arabia.
Dr. Venkat was a member of the Editorial Board (2017-18) for the Journal of Business Cases and Applications published by the Academic and Business Research Institute, USA; The Learner Research Network (International Journal). Common Ground Research Networks, University of Illinois Research Park, USA. Presently he is serving on the advisory committee as well as an editorial board member of a few journals published in India.
He is researching perceptional and behavioral studies on branding, quality of services, and social media marketing strategies. Authored two books titled ‘Marketing Management’ and ‘CRM’.
